STEVE

I've been tattooing in Brandon since 2008. I came up in the era of walk-in street shops, so I'm comfortable doing whatever walks through the door. No style is off limits if it's right for the skin and the idea.

These days my work is mostly black and grey, and I'm obsessed with custom lettering, especially large scale. I feel the art of lettering is often overlooked and under appreciated. Getting the flow and weight of a big piece of script right takes real skill, and it never gets old. I'm also pushing myself toward more illustrative neo-traditional and bold traditional work, the kind with real structure and punch.

Fair warning: I'm not a big talker when I'm tattooing. I get locked in. But I love this craft, and if you've got questions about your tattoo, the process, or aftercare, ask away. I'm happy to share what I know. And if we land on a subject I actually know something about, buckle up, because I can talk and talk.

I can also be blunt. I'm never trying to offend or upset anyone. I'm just the guy who says things how they are. If I tell you a placement won't age well or an idea needs reworking, it's because I care how your tattoo looks in ten years, not just today.

At the end of the day, my goal is simple: give you the best tattoo I possibly can — that comes first, always. Second, make sure you actually enjoy the time in the chair.

Thanks for trusting me with something permanent. I don't take that lightly.
